Near death on the pedestrian crossing..the time where car didn't brake..

Yes, the title was the major event of the day and the pedestrian was none other than myself. What happened was: I was on my way to get myself coffee since there weren't any cars driving past and that was a pedestrian crossing, I walked my way across. However, when I was halfway through a taxi seems not to notice that I was crossing drove right in front of me without braking. For a moment, I thought I am dying but luckily my legs react fast to stop myself from moving. For those who do not know, for pedestrian crossing, pedestrian has the right of way. No matter how you see it, it's the taxi driver at fault since he didn't pay attention when driving. Yet, the one at fault normally are not the ones who suffered. The innocent ones are the one who suffered. What they feel are normally retrievable when lost, no matter how much remuneration their family or they were given.

In addition to that, the morning didn't start great. I bought my morning coffee at the usual chiffon shop as usual. However, due to the morning rush, they made it a self service center where you are supposed to get a numbered cap and fill in the drinks that you are ordering. When finally my numbered was called, someone else went into the counter and took the drink. I can't even react to it as there might be repeated number. However, due to the uncertainty that I am feeling, I went to check the caps that were lined up across the counter table, indeed I realize that was my order. Not knowing what to do, I went on to ask the lady what happens if my order was taken? She rebutted that it was my mistake not stopping the customer who took away my order. Seriously, does that mean that I could take someone else order if the person didn't stop me from doing that. Then why must I pay for my drinks everyday? I bet no sane soul who like to pay twice for one coffee. Moreover, that person who took my order, it might even be considered a theft since in this case the shop denies responsible when I paid, so that makes the person a thief isn't it? Yet, no one would make a police report on such matter. I guess it's just my luck today, no coffee in the morning and almost died in the afternoon. Such a difficult day...

In any case, I was made to complete piles of assignments today. Moreover, I was asked to re-do the same thing close to ten times due to an error caused by another department when setting the initial platform up. Unfortunately, I can not say anything much about this as the person who gives the instructions was 3 position higher than I am. It's a tiring and draining day for me today. I was thinking to doing something to de-stress when I reached home, however, I soon realize that the moment I stepped into my unit, I have no energy left to spare.

I might post a bit more later if I didn't fall asleep accidentally. I will read up a bit before I decide to post or not. If I do, it probably be a review.

Enjoy your day. Eat sufficiently, work and not forgetting to have fun. Fill your day with smiles rather than frowns. Don't be like me.
