Do you plan or research before you buy something?

Well, if you ask me that in the past, I would tell you 'No!'. I used to think that when I need something, I will have to purchase it that instant. Since I need it and I will use and utilize the product or service that I am buying and nothing will be going to waste. That is the general way of thinking. One important point to add is: the web was not well-utilized in the past. I still remember times where I do search using bing and yahoo, and the results I got was not within my expectations. I have got irrelevant result for quite a number of times. Perhaps the web was not as robust as now. Hence, you find that information you need are quite difficult to find.

Things are definitely different right now and Google search has made information and knowledge just a click away. There are things like voice search nowadays which works well. However, if your primary language is not English, when you try using voice search in English you might not get the result you want. I guess this is pretty much due to the different pronunciation we have in our own country or cities.

It is the beginning of the year, nearing the time to spend quite an amount on food due to nearing Chinese New Year. What are you planning to buy this year? Most would buy new clothes and stock up Chinese New Year goodies, snacks and mandarin oranges during the season. Not forgetting abalones and beers. Well, of course, that is for those who are able to afford it. For us, I guess food and oranges would be our main expenditure.

Yesterday, mum went over to the nearby supermarket and they are already stocking up Chinese New Year goodies, especially snacks. As usual, she couldn't resist the temptations to buy a few of them for tasting purposes. These are the things which increase the festive mood, allowing one to look forward to celebrating New Year.

I am not sure how will this end this year, I hope that there wouldn't be more quarrels nor accidents happening. If I didn't remember wrongly, I have yet to start this blog during Chinese New Year last year. Well, just for recording purposes, we got into a major accident and some of our relatives had a major quarrel last year. It resulted in quite a depressing family gathering.

I started this post planning to talk about certain items that I had in mind and am thinking to purchasing. However, it seems like I am looking for to Chinese New Year unconsciously. You can't blame me for it, it is the one time in the year where all our family members and relatives get together and catch up with each other. Though there are some who refuse to do that, most would definitely attend. It great to know how each other is doing, yet there are always those few who love to make comparison on wealth, achievement, power and fame. Humans...

Time to get some food for myself for now, I will probably post another later or tomorrow on the products I have in mind. I may or may not purchase them but it would be good for me to record them down and re-visit them when I am earning enough.

Enjoy your weekend and catch up with your family, relatives and friends if you are able to. I bet they would be glad to hear from you.

Stay happy. :)
