Beta Sign-Up: Blizzard Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void

One of the games that caught my attention is Starcraft II. I came to know the game late last year and have tried it myself. It involves strategy and hand-eye coordination to play it well. Since I started the game late, I am not as good a player as compared to others who have been playing the games for years. Well, though I have been losing a lot, it is an interesting game. However, do expect a steep learning curve when you are just starting the game.

There are several modes in Starcraft II. The two modes that I have been playing was campaign and multiplayer (normal, ranked). Campaign is a good place for beginners to start in, it teaches you all the basic commands and movement that you might need in the game. It also has a great storyline to keep your interest. As for multiplayer, it is quite different from Campaign. You will have to build up your bases, make sure you have enough army to deal with your opponents harassment while upgrading and building your tech and bases ensuring you have an efficient economy to build the army that can win against your opponents. There are many different army compositions for each races. Scouting your opponents and know what army composition they are going for will definitely gives you an advantages as some units are better against others. Hence, the need for planning, strategy and coordination are key in multiplayer games. I found that difficult to master and I guess it will take more practice and experience to build that up. I guess that is what makes this game so competitive.

After having some background information on the game itself, do you have the urge to try out this game? The good news is Blizzard is currently launch the beta sign up for Starcraft II: Legacy of the void. You may wish to try that out as they have additional features and new army units which are interesting to explore. Alternatively, you can sign up for a trial version of Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm to try the game out. If it is a game you can see yourself being committed to, you can purchase the game after your trial has ended. I think it is quite similar to World of Warcraft since they are all Blizzard games.

I have recently gotten my beta code for Starcraft II: Legacy of the void, however, I had not have time to try it out yet. I will be trying it out sometime later and I hope it will be fun and exciting.

Just a short post to share the recent game I am playing and looking forward to play. Hope you are enjoying your weekend. :)

Cheers.
