Guess I will have to continue tomorrow...

Times Up!

It's always like this, time is just so scarce. I don't have enough time for myself, but too much time for work. Unfortunately, again today, I realize that I was underpaid because of my lack of connection with the people present in office. It seems like if you have connection with the people in the office, your starting salary will be higher even if you just have a diploma. Apparently, I learnt that she was just a friend of one of the manager in the company and her starting salary with a diploma and without experience is several hundreds more than a fresh graduate from public university of the country. Nothing to complain about, the world is never fair in the first place. Like one of the picture I came across on the web, "If you expect the world to be fair with you, just because you are fair, you're fooling yourself. That's like expecting the lion not to eat you because you didn't eat him." That, indeed, explains a lot.

Sometimes I really wonder what would happen if I have not wasted the additional time pursuing my education due to misleading norms and values imparted in you when you go to school. In fact, the real thing we need to survive in this society may not be education, may not be a piece of paper you get when you graduated in from polytechnic or university. Perhaps, the thing we need to survive is just as simple as the things you need to do to ensure that you can secure a well-paying job that is sufficient for you to live comfortably. To do this, you may not even need education itself.

Anyway, there is something I need to confess, I am not able to finish up and post the next programming tutorial by today as I have other things to complete. I didn't know that the coursera course final exam quizzes are out, so I am actually attempting that before I go to bed. However, I think there are around four more weeks of lectures to go before the course is completed. I wonder why do they release the final exam quizzes right now. It is like forcing us to read up on our own and attempt the quizzes. However, some might choose to wait till all the lectures are done before they attempt it. I just want to try it to know where I stand and how much more I will need to read up and learn more about to score well in the quiz. To score well, of course, it will be to get the full marks like most of them would eventually. That's why I have not started drafting the programming tutorial yet as I was reading up on the textbook to get a general idea of what the later chapters are going to be about and try to guess my way through the quiz. I will try my best to do up the tutorial as soon as possible.

If I have the time later, I will jot down a follow up on how I did for the quiz. As for the expectations for the upcoming week, I am hoping the usual to post up at least one post every day, however, in addition to the upcoming boolean tutorial, I hope to do up an additional python tutorial and perhaps a review on the Kbt talking race 2 mechanical keyboard. Of course, these will remain an expectations and a goal until I realize them in the upcoming week. Due to the massive outbreaks of distractions and work overload during weekdays, I always have trouble completing what I expect. I would try to manage my time better no matter is at work and during transport, using the free time to draft the things I would like to jot down in the blog post so that perhaps that would reduce the time require for me to complete posting everyday. In addition to that, perhaps it may also improve the flow of my blog post, I will try doing this for the upcoming week and see whether it would work out. If it doesn't, I would search for alternatives to improve on the quality of my posts and to meet the expectations of myself.

Try to have a good rest before the start of another work/study week ahead. You don't want to be drained the very first day because it will just make the rest of your week worse. When you reached Friday eventually, you won't be feeling excited and hyper. You might just be wanting to get some sleep and before you realize it's Saturday and Sunday.

So have a good rest! Work hard and enjoy your work or studies. If you aren't enjoying what you are doing, then try to work out something to improve your life, your comfort level and your happiness. I am trying very hard on that, least there are two people supporting my decision. Even if there are none, I would rather live for myself than living for the society.

Have fun and enjoy your rest...!
