Freedom: What does it really mean?

There are several ways which freedom is being defined. Different types of freedom were declared when we are talking about different issue. But what exactly is freedom? Whether we have them in the first place is highly debatable.

Now, let us take a moment to think about this. Since birth, our movements and behaviours are restricted by our parents or perhaps our caregivers. Most of us live with our family. It feels natural to be controlled by them. As we go through the process of growing up, most of us will attend school and similar there are other authorities in control of our behaviours. Punishment and rewards. We learnt to coerce to certain norms and values which are deemed acceptable and beneficial to the society. To cut the story short, the point I am trying to get here is: as long as we are living in a society, the concept of freedom may be too far-fetched to talk about. We wish you act on our own will. Yet, we don't realise our will is being 'boxed-up' to fit the values and norms of the society.

So what kind of freedom do we really have? Maybe a delusional one? Freedom that makes us feel comfortable enough to live in the society. Rules and regulations that appear to be protecting us when in actual fact, it is not.

I will be making a decision and will stick to the decision. If it is a bad one, then I should learn from my mistake. However, if it is a good one, then I will be living a slightly more meaningful life as compared to now. Let's see how it goes.

Weekends...They always seem to past by so swiftly.

After a 160 posts, I wonder if my English had improved? How much has it improved? Can I tell the difference if I were to read my very first post and the 160th post?

Ciao~ Remember to be smiling. :)
