A weekend: The Saturday after a long period of zombization

So what is with "zombization" stated in my title? Well, it is just some random word I came up with to describe me not living life fully and just did what I am supposed to everyday, sometimes not realizing that I am breathing.

That is how life is. Now in the modern city, you just got to work most of the days, You waste more than half your life working and if the job you have do not suit you, then there you have it. We will have to secure ourselves a job whether we like it or not for survival (this is especially true in cities with high cost of living). There is just no way for you to survive without money. Your bills will come, your lawyers letters will come if you miss paying your bills for a couple of months and things will just go on a downward spiral.

To tell you the truth, I don't even know if there are enough varieties of job openings to suit the different capabilities and interests people have. How can you even prove it? By the statistics and research done on job satisfaction? Or by just influencing people to be convince that they would surely find the job they are suited for if they don't give up on their passion? How many of us lie in interviews stating that we are passionate on the work the position will be able to offer, and roll our eyes when we get the position and started working endlessly without days and nights?

There are many problems not being addressed fully in the modern age. Perhaps the pace of living and progression is too fast that even the best of our kind could not handle it properly. Well, it may not be the case either, it is all up of our imagination and intuition of what we think the reason behind the ever increasing problems that arise as time progress. If you read substantially, you may come across this idea at some point, the idea that for every solution we come up with, around ten more additional problems will arise from that solution. I find that to be pretty true and, to some extent, scary. All of us wouldn't know what our futures would brings. We can speculate. We can predict. However, no one would know for sure. Yes, those with power, wealth and the ability to influence may affect the future to a certain extent, however, these actions may not necessarily bring the result intended. (Well, reminds me on the theory of chaos, a flap from a butterfly today, may cause a typhoon somewhere in the world tomorrow.)

Well, let's put those problems aside for now as we wouldn't want to ruin our weekend, would we? Now, I should jot down some of my thoughts and others incidents which I should remember right here.

From Tuesday to Thursday, I was busy preparing some documents for our company audit. Well, it is the first time I am exposed to a company audit. I have never been in a company which have audit to do before and this was my first time. I have to confessed, it was a really tedious process, finding all sorts of samples to save, check, print and upload. However, there was something I should remember from this experience, people tend to take advantage of you when you are busy and don't know what you are doing. As I was focusing to finish the task on hand, I encountered various problems, errors that were made in the past and missing documents. Normally, these past works should be gathered by executive of the position team leader or higher, but as usual, they will ask someone of a lower rank to do it and claim the credit themselves by uploading it. Anyway, you could have guessed what happened, it is common practice during audit.(Common does not mean ethical.) I should have think before I act, as I was quite tired and drained, I didn't put much thought into this. However, this has turned into an important and valuation lesson for me to learn from.

Later today, I will be going to my relative's house for a birthday celebration. Presents are prepared and date had been set. Yet, part of us are reluctant to attend such events. As you know, in events, it's mostly about your status, connections and your ability to communicate with the people. All three of the important points are troubles, at least for me. I am not earning much from my current job, I do not connect with those relatives and their friends and I hate communicating with a bunch of drunks. I would rather spend my time practicing my programming or perhaps work on another post on the new keyboard and mouse I have been using. Being contradicting as I am, the person who is celebrating her birthday today treat my family really well, when we do not have sufficient financial ability to support our daily necessities, she will always be the one offering to buy some of them for us. It is only right for us to express our gratitude once in a while. Well...sometimes, I just hate how my brain works.

Alright, two short paragraphs for now. Since it's weekend, let's all enjoy it! I guess it is school holiday for most of us now, remember to play hard and work hard (to decrease the burden you may face after the holiday).

Enjoy people! And see you shortly.
