After going through much, we will realize how powerless we are eventually. But the main question will probably be 'what if not all of us are powerless?' We probably could do more than we can imagine given a certain condition is satisfied.
Just like in school, we went there because it is compulsory. I doubt any four to seven years old children will go to school by their own will. Our brain are not as developed to realize what we really want and desire in life. However, despite that, we are promised something if we managed to do well. Though I realize that there are also cases where we are not promised anything, and most of the time we will just idle our days off just like that. If we are promised something, we will try our best to achieve. Given the right condition, you will probably do a better job when you are conditioned to. It seems like if we were given a choice, who wouldn't want to live a comfortable life without worries and without us constantly exerting ourselves.
Yet, no matter what we try to achieve or what we try to do. In the end of our lives, we seem to get nothing in return. Hence, putting so much effort for nothing in the end is quite pathetic. (If you get nothing in the end, perhaps you are already one of the very lucky ones.) Some others might be suffering till the end of their lives.
Perhaps I am the only one who is thinking this way. Of course, when you think differently from your peers, you will be naturally avoided in conversation. Even if it is just a small matter like you are being too straightforward to your peers. It would definitely be worse if you have an opinion too far-fetched from what they can imagine it to be.
Such differences in opinions and thoughts separate us even though we are all human beings. We tend to stick together with those who are much similar to us. Based on the normal curve which many scholars love to assume they exist, the few with far-fetched opinions will tend to be forsaken and left to rot.
Why am I typing this? I don't even know it myself. I feel that the hard work and effort one may put in their whole life seems to lead to nothing. Definitely not what we wish to see and achieve in the first place. Then what do human beings wish to achieve in the first place? Why are we born into this world? Most of us would like to know, but we are still yet to know. Without the truth anywhere near us, in order to stop ourselves from thinking of this everyday, we tend to run away from the truth. Yes, my family is important, my work is important, my sleep is important, and everyday just don't seem to have enough time for me. Where do I get the time to think about such things like this? Aren't all these excuses just a lie to ourselves? If they are, then how are we supposed to live if we are faced with such fears everyday?
Well, weekend is closing to an end. The upcoming week will be a busy and noisy one due to workload, packing and Chinese New Year. I don't even know what I was typing above, if it makes no sense, we can just ignore it. I will probably read them again tomorrow when I have the energy to focus.
I hope you had a great and fun Valentine day. Enjoy the remaining weekend. And hope your will be filled with smiles and joy.
Have fun!
