Thoughts on: HP Stream 13 Laptop

As you can see above, the HP Stream laptop taken from Singapore hp online store website. The first attractive point for the particular laptop will be the price. It cost only SGD 349. For a moment I thought my eyes was playing trick on me. For such a price, you are able to get a brand new laptop which has no problems doing basic computing, web browsing, word processing and media playback. One word to describe this: Amazing.

Another reason why I was looking at this laptop is portability. This laptop has a 13.3" display size and weigh just around 1.6 kg. It is pretty reasonable to me. It fits my needs and this is so much cheaper compared to ultra-books.

This laptop is often compared to Chromebooks. I use Windows (well, most of us are familiar with Windows) most of the time and I definitely would prefer an OS which I am familiar with. This way my productivity wouldn't be compromise and I do not need to waste too much time researching my way around a Chromebook.

If you are a full-time student who is studying and need a laptop occasionally for note-taking and projects in school. This would be one of the best choices out there, not only it is affordable. It comes use Office 365 Personal one year which is useful for school works. Moreover, it's stylist design and colour prove to be attractive and pleasant to our eyes.

For the storage of the HP Stream 13, it has a 32 GB SSD and 2 GB ram. Due to the pre-installed software on the device, there will be around 17 GB of storage available for your personal data. I think storage is not a problem as the laptop has usb ports which can support thumb drive or external hard disk to increase the memory. Moreover, you may also wish to add a microSD card as a supplement storage if you need more space.

Last, but not least, the processor for the above laptop is an Intel Celeron N2480 2.16 Hz with integrated graphics. Well, it doesn't sound like the i3, i5, i7 that we are familiar with. However, I can assure that this processor is able to support most of our basic computing needs. Hence, if you were to use this computer for your school projects, such as word processing, presentations, basic multimedia needs, it would not have a problem performing at a decent speed.

To sum up, I really think that if you are budget conscious, this is the laptop you should buy to cover your basic computing needs everyday. It has a great portability, decent speed and style appearance. I believe that it would prove to be convenient for students and adults that required portability in a laptop for their everyday work. Most importantly, it is budget friendly!
