It's the first time I am typing at this hour. That's because I woke up due to a crack in the main water pipe. Almost the floor of my rental unit was flooded, hence, got to wake up to clear up the mess as well as to close the main tap for water on the ground floor. Since I am awake, I thought I would jot down some of my thoughts down and get some studying done before I go back to rest a little while more.
Perhaps, I will take leave tomorrow for get some personal outstanding issue resolve, such as the leaking pipe, restricted personal banking access, hair cut and other things which I doubt I will have the time to complete even if I manage to take leave tomorrow.
I am pretty tired and drained as I slept quite late yesterday due to late dinner. You must be wondering since I went out the whole day, don't I get to eat out? Unfortunately, everywhere was crowded, it's difficult to find a space to sit and have my lunch and dinner. Hence, I was not able to have anything at all until I reached home. My aunt commented yesterday that she bought her son a keyboard which cost SGD158. I was wondering if he bought himself a mechanical keyboard. If he didn't, then perhaps it wouldn't be that costly. Perhaps, I should ask him later in the afternoon, and see what keyboard did he buy. Even though the matter is none of the concern, I am quite curious on what type of keyboard he bought and if it's a mechanical keyboard, what kind of switches did he pick. According to my knowledge of him, he is quite a gamer and the games that he loves need quite a number of double tapping. Therefore, I guess that he bought himself a cherry MX red switch mechanical keyboard to aid in his game play. Even though he does not seem concern on winning or losing in games, he definitely cares about what kind of external input devices would give him a better gaming experience. I remembered he went to buy a tablet just to play a game named osu!. Well, he is one lucky guy who can afford anything he wants as his parents are pretty well-off.
Apart from that, we took our grandma out yesterday, yet due to her age, she was not able to walk around much. Hence, we have to find some place for her to rest so that she would feel better. It was not a great day yesterday as she was not in a good mood. Eventually, we found out that she acted this way as her son, who is my uncle, was unwilling to work. This problem actually persisted quite long. After tonnes of persuasion from my mum, he finally went to take on a delivery job position, however, he quit within a month as the salary was too low for him. When we went to their house to celebrate our grandma's birthday, he told us that he found another jobs which suit him better. Unfortunately, that was a lie he made up so that he would look good in front of all the relatives. I don't understand what he is thinking, and what problem he is actually facing. Perhaps, due to the lack of formal education and the right skills to get him the job that he really wants. Maybe it may be a simple reason such as laziness. However, there is one thing I know. We are a family and we are definitely willing to help if it's within our means. This can only happens if one opens up and be honest with his problems. Indeed, people might judge you for the things that you may done in the past, but we know about you, if you have the sincerity to change and commit to the job, I think there will bound to be a job position that suits your need. Of course, you will need to work hard and learn to adapt quickly once you secure the position itself. If you are unwilling to open up and hide all your problems to yourself, no one will be able to help and no one will get to understand what are you facing. If he could only tell us, perhaps things would not have ended up this way in the first place.
Alright, those are pretty much the main points to jot down for yesterday. As for Friday, it was the last day of my ex manager and now the new manager completely took over. Another reason for me to refuse to go to work tomorrow. Simply not motivated to anymore. I guess I will not be able to learn much from there anymore since no one will willing to teach me anything, and most of the stuffs they passed to me are done correctly without anyone guiding me. If it's like this, this is not value added to my skills while working there as well. Moreover, it is not the industry I would like to be working in the long run. However, I am still actively looking for an alternatives and I am not having much luck either. The last thing I want to do is to quit without a job. Some may think that I am selfish to act and think this way, but can you say that company and institutions aren't selfish? In my opinion, if you do not stand and protect yourself and your interest, there is be no one out there who would look after those for you.
I guess I will stop here and have a short break. I might post something constructive later if I can find out what keyboard did my cousin bought so stay tuned.
